Creativity and service are at the core of our relationship with the advertising community. Our business units are in constant contact with this community offering targeted research, a unique combination of advertising platforms in radio, specialty television, outdoor advertising and increasingly on the web, as well as a heightened level of customer care. During the year, we reinforce this relationship with special events that underline our commitment to nourishing that creativity, knowledge and client service.
In September 2005, Astral Media gathered clients, partners and colleagues at a conference featuring a world renowned speaker, to stir the creative juices of an industry that thrives on out-of-the-box thinking. Guest speaker Benjamin Zander, conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, teacher, speaker and author of the best selling book, The Art of Possibility, entertained a group of 300 guests. Zander's presentation demonstrated how people in creative industries can use the same techniques to lead their teams to greater innovative successes, by unleashing their creativity.
In June 2006, Astral Media TVPlus welcomed clients to the fifth annual Astral Media TVPlus Trade Show, with this year's theme, Derrière nos chaînes... vos spécialistes (Your Specialists on our Channels). This unique event allowed advertising professionals to interact directly with the programming and marketing directors of each Astral Media French-language specialty network. The event gives media professionals - media buyers and planners, direct clients and cable operators-a sneak preview of the fall programming on Canal D, Canal Vie, Ztélé, Historia, Séries+, MusiquePlus, MusiMax and TELETOON, with particular attention given to the fall launch of HD on seven of the Company's French-language pay and specialty networks. |
